Tommy Duma’s History
in Fast Track Racing
1960s
Started out on Tecumseh- and Briggs & Stratton-powered minibikes, eventually moving to slightly more advanced machines such as Honda’s SL70
1970s
Duma raced Noguchi/Yamaha 100s and 125s, 250 and 360cc Yamahas and, later, the vaunted XR750
1976
Turned pro at 16 and eventually becoming a Junior, then Expert, and riding with the top-level pros at AMA Nationals
1980
All-time best race: DuQuoin Mile. Retired in 1982 due to injuries
